State v. Mr. L.S. (2024)

Practice Area: Criminal Law / DUI

Date: February 7, 2024

Description: Goodyear Municipal Court, State v. Mr. L.S.: Mr. L.S. was pulled over for a traffic infraction and was thereafter investigated for driving under the influence of alcohol.  Following field sobriety testing that the officer indicated showed signs and symptoms of alcohol ingestion, Mr. L.S. was tested and shown to have a BAC of .187 and .179.  Castillo Law was able to convince the prosecutor to allow Mr. L.P. to plead to a reduced DUI to the Slightest Degree and serve only 1 day with two days of home detention. This resulted in less jail time, reduced fines, and reduced time with an ignition interlock.

Results depend upon factors unique to each case. Results in one case do not predict results in another case.
