Description: Maricopa County Superior Court: State v. Mr. E.B. (2025). Mr. E.B. retained Castillo Law after being charged with four counts of Aggravated Assault, two counts of Disorderly Conduct, two counts Criminal Damage, one count Fail to Stop at Scene of a Damage Accident, one count Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm, one count Drive by Shooting, and one count Obstructing a Highway or Other Public with multiple victims and multiple dates of offenses. Thereafter, Mr. E.B. was facing significant time in prison- double digits. His first plea offer was to no less than 10.5 years in prison. 

By investigating Mr. E.B.’s mitigating factors and having expert witnesses conduct a psychiatric evaluation and Seriously Mentally Ill evaluation, Ms. Dames was able to shed light on Mr. E.B.’s newfound diagnosis of Schizophrenia. By showcasing to the court that there was heavy mental health factors involved, Ms. Dames was able to reduce the charges against Mr. E.B. He pled guilty to two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, one count Drive by Shooting, and one count Aggravated Assault. Mr. E.B was ultimately sentenced to 5 years in prison.
