As with all holiday weekends, expect an increase in police presence at events and on the roadways. Common citations given out include DUI, Alcohol Use or Possession by Minors, Open Containers, Disorderly Conduct, and OUI (boating DUI). Be sure to review your local ordinances relating to fireworks, remember to always designate a driver or a boat captain, and watch your children around water to ensure a fun and safe Independence Day this year!
