Description: Maricopa County, State v. AM. AM was accused of pointing an AK-47 assault rifle at an acquaintance during a verbal argument and was charged with one Count of Aggravated Assault, a Class 3 Dangerous Felony. If convicted at trial AM was facing mandatory prison time. After an investigation and a deviation letter that was sent to the State by Ms. Castillo, AM was offered a plea Agreement to a single count of Aggravated Assault, a Class 3 non-dangerous Felony with a stipulation to probation. AM was granted probation with no up front jail.
