State v. Mr. R.A. (2025) Aggravated Robbery/Theft of Means of Transportation/Armed Robbery – Case Dismissed

State v. Mr. R. A. (2025)

Practice Area: Criminal Law / Theft Crimes

Date: August 6, 2025

Outcome: Case Dismissed

Description: Maricopa County Superior Court: State vs. Mr. R.A. Mr. R.A. hired Castillo Law to represent him when he was charged as a juvenile in adult court with various counts of Aggravated Robbery, Theft of Means of Transportation, and Armed Robbery. After careful review of the initial police report, the attorneys at Castillo Law could see that much more evidence was necessary for the State to prove Mr. R. A.’s culpability for the offense. After receiving additional evidence, the Castillo Law team worked to investigate the credibility of the evidence, working with expert witnesses, and negotiated heavily with the State who refused to provide a better plea offer than five (5) years in prison. Due to intense investigation by Castillo Law, it became clear that the State would not be able to produce substantial incriminating evidence, as well as not being able to disprove Mr. R.A.’s alibi. The State thereafter moved to dismiss the case.
