State v. Mr. A.G. (2022)

Practice Area: Criminal Law / Criminal Trespass/ Criminal Damage

Outcome: Dismissal of all charges

Description: Maricopa County Superior Court, State v. Mr. A.G.  Mr. A.G. was charged with Criminal Trespass in the First Degree, a class 6 felony, and Criminal Damage, a class 2 misdemeanor, after Mr. A.G. unintentionally entered and caused damage to a condominium that was right next door and architecturally identical to a condominium where he was housesitting for a family friend. The initial plea offer made by the State was to have Mr. A.G. plead to Criminal Trespass in the First Degree, a class six undesignated felony, with a stipulation to be placed on supervised probation for a period of up to three years and to a possibility of up to twelve months of jail as a term of probation.

Through negotiation, Castillo Law was able to secure a diversion agreement with the State wherein Mr. A.G. was able to participate in a program and repay the damages to receive a full dismissal of the charges.
