- Obtain the name, booking number and/or date of birth of the incarcerated person by calling Sheriff’s Information Management Services at 602-876-0322.
- Before visiting an inmate, contact the jail’s visitation phone number to find out if any housing units are on visitation restrictions:
- You may not visit a jail in Maricopa County if you have been convicted of a felony, been incarcerated during the last twelve (12) months, or do not have legal status in the United States.
- You will need to provide a valid, government issued picture identification card to enter the jail. This includes a DMV identification card, driver’s license or immigration card.
- Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult or parent. However, people under the age of 18 are no longer permitted at the 4th Avenue Jail.
- You must fill out a visitation form that includes your name and the booking number of the person you are visiting.
- Inmates are allowed one thirty-minute visit every seven-day period. He or she is only allowed to be visited by two people at a time. Any child under the age of 12 months does not count as a visitor.
- You will not be allowed to enter the visitation room with any personal items including: jewelry, hair ties, sunglasses, cell phones, wallets, purses, books, etc. There are lockers provided by the jail, but a fee is required to use them. So, make sure to bring spare change to the jail with you.
- Visitation is on Sunday and Monday from 8:00am-8:00pm. The last sign-up is at 7:15pm.
