Top Eleven Reasons you Might be Violated on Probation if you have White Collar Terms

Probationers must comply with all conditions of probation, including white collar terms when specifically ordered.  Not all probationers have the same terms or requirements while on probation, as these terms are negotiable and can be modified.  If a probationer has violated the terms of probation, the probation officer can file a Petition to Revoke Probation and the probationer will have to return to court to see a judge.  In some situations, the probation officer can obtain a warrant for the probationer’s arrest.  If you are on probation with white collar terms, here are some reasons you might be violated:

  1. You failed to make monthly restitution payments equal to at least 10% of your gross monthly household income.
  2. You failed to provide proof of all household income and expenses as directed by your probation officer.
  3. You failed to obtain prior written approval from probation before opening any checking, savings, investment, or retirement accounts.
  4. You refused to sign release of information forms for all banking, savings and investment accounts, tax returns, and any other financial information for probation.
  5. You failed to obtain prior written approval from probation before incurring any additional business or personal financial obligations and/or encumbrances.
  6. You failed to submit a copy of your credit report to probation as directed.
  7. You failed to submit copies of tax returns or extension requests with all supporting documents to probation at time of filing of said documents.
  8. You failed to obtain prior written approval from probation before beginning any employment, and/or you failed to notify all employers of your current conviction as directed by probation.
  9. If you are self-employed or have ownership, control, or financial interest in any business or business venture, you failed to submit all business, financial, and accounting records to probation as directed.
  10.  You failed to obtain prior written approval from probation before gambling or visiting any gaming establishments.
  11. You failed to obtain prior written approval from probation before using any computer equipment or accessing the internet if you are restricted from using the computer or internet.
