2018 Country Thunder Castillo Law
Country Thunder, Arizona’s largest country music festival, is back this April for its 22ndstraight year! Last year, it is estimated that 27,000 people attended the long-running festival – and with a line-up that includes Jason Aldean, Cole Swindell, Brett Young, and Luke Bryan, this year is likely to put up similar numbers. The gates will open Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 9 AM to allow campers to get in early, with shows starting April 5, 2018. The concerts kick off at 3:30 PM on Thursday and end after Luke Bryan’s performance on Sunday at 9 PM.

If you’re late to the game, don’t worry – tickets are still available! You can score a 4-Day General Admission wristband online for $190 + taxes and fees and Single Day General Admission tickets start at $75 + taxes and fees. Walgreens is also selling reduced priced tickets to the festival while supplies last. Keep in mind, you will need the 4-Day pass to enter the campgrounds. The campsites are sold out so if you haven’t purchased one yet, you may be able purchase them on various resale sites, but they will likely cost considerably more than the original price.

Castillo Law wishes all Country Thunder attendees a safe and fun-filled 4 days! We have some Country Thunder veterans here on staff and we know how much fun is to be had in the middle of nowhere with good friends and country music! However, we do want to remind you to follow the rules of the festival as there will be an abundance of police officers and sheriff’s deputies in attendance. Please remember:

  • Firearms and weapons are not allowed in the festival bowl or campsites.
  • Selfie sticks are not allowed in the festival bowl either – leave these at your campsite!
  • No outside alcohol is allowed in the festival bowl (don’t try to be sneaky – security is well aware of your tricks of hiding flasks in your boots, waistbands, cowboy hats, lawn chair bags, etc.)
  • Review and follow the new strict bag policy – only transparent plastic bags, gallon size freezer bags, and small clutches will be allowed in the bowl.
  • No glass bottles or containers are allowed in the festival bowl or campground.
  • Dogs are not allowed in the festival bowl at any time. While Country Thunder does allow dogs in the campgrounds, they strongly recommend you leave your dogs at home because the large crowds and noise level may distress your dog and there have been many reports of stolen dogs at prior festivals. If you choose to bring along your four-legged friend, be sure to keep them leashed at all times.
  • If you are over the age of 21 and plan to drink – do so responsibly, carry your ID and do not provide any alcohol to minors!
  • If you leave the campgrounds in your vehicle for any reason, the gates are closed at 10 PM. Even if you have a campsite, you will not be allowed reentry until 9 AM the following day.
  • Stay hydrated! A long day of drinking under the Arizona sun can cause irritability and an altercation may cause you to end up with assault charges.

The full guidelines for festival and campgrounds can be found at https://www.countrythunder.com/policies. If you break the law for any reason, you will be removed from the festival and not given a refund!
