Charges: Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a Class 2 Dangerous Felony, Possession of Marijuana, Class 6 felony; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Class 6 Felony, and Disorderly Conduct

Outcome: REDUCED to Possession of Marijuana, a Class 1 misdemeanor, other counts dismissed, no jail imposed.

Description:

Maricopa County Superior Court: Mr. C. was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon along with his other charges after allegedly threatening a person with a knife during a drug transaction.

Through extensive knowledge of the law, Ms. Castillo alerted the State to significant legal and factual issues in their case.  The State agreed to reduce the charge to just one Count of Possession of Marijuana, a Class 1 misdemeanor and Mr. C avoided jail time.
