Hi. My name is Cindy Castillo with Castillo Law. Today, I’d like to talk to you about Gang Terms.

You have been charged with a crime where you have been consider to be associating with a gang or if the county attorney’s office or prosecuting agency believes that the crime was committed because of your affiliation with a gang.

The county attorney may require that if you interim a plea agreement with them that you sign off on gang terms. What are those gang terms? Well usually the gang terms require that you not associate with any gang members, anybody who is affiliated in any way shape perform with gangs. It may also require that you not ware any clothing that would be associated with a gang, any gang colors, any symbols, any type of paraphernalia that would even suggest that you are affiliating or promoting gangs.

Finally in these types of cases it is usually very restricted in terms of your ability to go to certain activities and your ability to have full use of your time, they normally would require that you have some type of curfew and that you’re not be able to go to certain locations.
