State v. JL (2015)
Practice Area: Criminal Law/DUI
Date: 07/20/2015
Description: Arrowhead Justice Court: Mr. J was alleged to have committed DUI, after a DPS Officer arrested him upon allegedly observing signs and symptoms of impairment. If found guilty, Mr. J would have been required to serve jail time, complete classes, and pay a fine. Mr. J’s blood alcohol content was .101 and .098. Mr. Goebel filed a Motion to Dismiss this case for lack of probable cause, and the motion was granted after a successful evidentiary hearing. All of Mr. J’s charges were dismissed. This prevented Mr. J from having a DUI on his record, he was able to maintain his place of employment, and he did not have to serve any jail time.
