Hi. My name is Cindy Castillo with Castillo Law. Today, I’d like to talk to you about Possession of Marijuana in the State of Arizona.

First of, it’s important that you understand that possessing marijuana in the state of Arizona is illegal. Even if you have a marijuana card you maybe possessing marijuana illegally, it is very important that you understand your rights. In Arizona, if you have been charged with possession of marijuana, you could could be charged in a misdemeanor court or you could also be charged in a felony court in the superior court of Arizona.

If you have been charged with possession of marijuana, it’s important for you to understand that at a minimum you could be looking at drug classes, but you could also received probation. That means that you might have to check in with the probation officer every single week or every single month, you could be drug tested, you could have to pay fines. It is also important that you understand that there are collateral consequences for having a marijuana charged.
