Hi, my name is Cindy Castillo with Castillo Law. Today, I’d like to talk to you about Juvenile Crimes in the State or Arizona. It’s important for you to understand that if your child has been charged with the Juvenile Crime in the State of Arizona, your child may face serious consequences. Now, it is true that for juvenile crimes we do tend to focus on rehabilitation and not punishment. If your child has been the unfortunate person who has been in the system for awhile, there are circumstances where your child may end up in juvenile detention.

Another serious point about juvenile crimes is if your child is close to their 18th birthday. In the State of Arizona a prosecutor has the choice of holding that case until they turn 18 and then charging them as an adult. Also, it’s important for you to understand that if your child has been charged with a very serious offense such as a dangerous offense or a sex crime that that child might be charged as an adult, and even if he’s not charged in this as an adult your child might end up having to register as a sex offender until his age 25. Or even possibly taken out of your home because your child cannot live with other children in your home.

If your child has been charged with the juvenile offense, please contact me I offer free consultations.
