State v. DJ (2011)
Practice Area: Criminal Law/DUI
Date: 06/11/2012
Description: Scottsdale City Court: While visiting Arizona from New Jersey, DJ was driving his rental car in Scottsdale after having consumed alcohol at dinner. DJ’s car drifted into the bike lane and he was pulled over by a Scottsdale Police officer. After a DUI investigation, DJ was arrested for DUI. His BAC was .118. DJ was facing at least 30 days in jail because he had a prior DUI that occurred within seven years of his arrest. Mr. Goebel negotiated with the prosecutor’s office and convinced them to offer a reduced plea to a DUI in the slightest degree with no prior DUI. DJ only had to serve one day in jail.
